ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Brandon Morris scored a career-high 17 points in his first start at point guard, leading Georgia to an 84-75 win over Lipscomb Saturday afternoon.
Charles Mann, the starting point guard and Georgia's leading scorer, watched from the sidelines with a sore knee as Morris and walk-on Taylor Echols handled the minutes at the point. Echols had played a total of 37 minutes previously in his Georgia career and had never scored. He had nine points Saturday.
Georgia (4-4) got 15 points from Namanja Djurisic and 14 from Dante Williams. It was the Bulldogs' first game in 12 days after a break for exams.
