Phillies-Rockies Preview

(AP) -- The Colorado Rockies returned home from a seven-game trip and wasted little time before getting back to their hot hitting in front of their home fans.

After an impressive showing in the series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Rockies' bats will try for an encore performance Saturday night as they seek a third series win in as many tries at Coors Field this season.

Colorado (9-9) scored seven runs in the first two innings of Friday's 12-1 win over Philadelphia (7-9), and its 18 hits boosted the club's season average to an MLB-best .296.
