|Gordon has been overshadowed by teammate and All-American inside linebacker Greg Jones throughout his career at Michigan State, but he helped anchor one of the Big Ten's best defenses his senior season. While Jones received most of the hype and publicity, Gordon's presence on the outside helped form one of the conference's toughest defensive duos. Gordon was a second-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and media after recording 92 tackles for the second straight season as the Spartans finished 11-2 and won a share of the Big Ten title. He registered 331 tackles, including 29 for loss, and started a school-record 48 games in his four-year career. Gordon's quickness and ability to keep with the speed of the NFL game has been a question mark, though he is a force against the run and can maintain shallow pass coverage. The shadow of Jones may have led to Gordon's projection as a late-round pick, but he has the talent and instincts to be a solid NFL contributor with increased speed. He'll likely begin his pro career on special teams and work as a backup, though he's been underestimated most of his college career.
